Among the types of Personal Data that this Application collects, by itself or through third parties, there are: Receipt Images; Extracted Financial Text (Merchant Name, Date, Total Amount); Usage Data; device information; Application opens; launches; operating systems; Camera permission; crash data; and Purchase History (Subscriptions).
Complete details on each type of Personal Data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy policy. Data is either provided by the User (such as by scanning a receipt) or collected automatically when using this Application.
Unless specified otherwise, all Data requested by this Application is necessary for its core functionality. Failure to provide this Data, such as Camera permission, will make it impossible to scan receipts.
The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction of the Data.
Local Processing: The core feature of VaultTax (OCR and Data Extraction) uses Apple's Vision Framework directly on the User's device. Receipt images and extracted data are stored locally in the application's database (SwiftData).
Cloud Sync: If the User enables iCloud, data may be synced across the User's devices via Apple's iCloud services. This data is encrypted by Apple and is not accessible to the Owner.
Personal Data is stored on the User's device for as long as the User keeps the Application installed. Users can delete individual receipts or their entire history at any time within the App.
The Data concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its Service (organizing financial records), comply with legal obligations, protect its rights, and for Analytics and Infrastructure Monitoring.
This Application requests certain permissions to perform its primary functions.
Used for accessing the device's camera to scan physical receipts and documents. Images are processed locally on the device.
Used for accessing images from the User's library to import previously taken photos of receipts.

This Application uses Apple's Vision Framework to recognize text on receipts. This processing happens entirely on your device. No receipt images are sent to the Owner's servers or third-party AI APIs for analysis.

RevenueCat analyzes purchase history to manage your subscription status. Privacy Policy.

Users may exercise certain rights regarding their Data. Since VaultTax stores data locally, Users have full control to access, edit, export (via PDF/CSV), or delete their data directly within the Application.
